Since the dawn of time, all civilizations have had two things in common. They gazed skyward to marvel at the secrets of the cosmos, and they made beer. Myths and legends were born as mortals sipped beer and watched comets blaze across the evening sky and stars dance throughout the heavens.
The ancients believed paradise existed at the highest point in the universe, a fiery sphere called the Empyrean. Inspired by these tales, we set out to infuse every batch of our handcrafted ales with our unique notion of paradise. Renewable Energy
Empyrean donates over 300,000 pounds of spent grain to local farmers each year.
Our warehouse in downtown Lincoln houses the largest privately-owned solar panel arrays in Nebraska.
The buildings also utilize geothermal wells for more efficient heating and cooling.
