Keg Rental FAQ
What sizes are available, and what's the cost?
Empyrean Brewing Co. offers 5-gallon kegs for $67 and 15.5-gallon kegs for $175. A tub, tap, and cups are included at no extra charge.
How far in advance do I need to order?
We ask for at least 2 days’ notice. You can reserve online or call the brewery at 402-434-5960, Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM. Seasonal varieties require a phone reservation due to limited availability.
Where do I pick up and return my keg?
Empyrean Brewing Co. is located at 729 Q Street in Lincoln’s Haymarket. Enter through the glass door on the loading dock and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Returns are dropped off in the dock area — just give us a call when you arrive. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM
When and how do I pay and is there a deposit?
Payment is collected at pickup. No deposit is required. If you’ve borrowed tapping equipment, please return it within 7 days.
How long will kegs stay fresh?
Up to 4 months if kept cold in a kegerator or cold storage. For a party or BBQ where the keg won’t stay consistently chilled, plan to finish it within about 3 days. Once tapped, beer that isn’t kept cold loses its freshness and carbonation much faster.
